Elena Prentice was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

She studied at RISD and Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College. She moved to Paris where she continued to paint, exhibit and teach drawing. She spent a year in Morocco where she ran the Old American Legation Museum of Tangier before moving to New York and teaching at the National Academy of Design. In 2003 she moved to Tangier, Morocco, where she resides permanently.

 

Her work is in many private and public collections in The United States, France, Belgium, Norway, England, Switzerland, Argentina, Jordan, Tunis and Morocco.
