Nicolas Poignon 

Born in 1963 in Nancy, works and lives in Berlin.

Nicolas Poignon took courses at the École Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques in Paris between 1982 and 1984, before enrolling in the École National Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Brussels. 

 

Painter and engraver (mostly on linoleum), he is interested primarily in landscapes, which he presents as deserted and inaccessible. Nicolas Poignon has shown work in numerous galleries in France and overseas and has been highly praised. 

 

Nicolas Poignon won the first Prix Marcel Mambré at the Biennale de L'Estampe in Saint-Maur 2015.
